Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Little Menders (littlemenders.com and any related apps). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Little Menders.

What Little Menders is

Little Menders is a platform that helps people with broken items find local people who can repair them. We introduce you to each other. We are not a party to any repair agreement, and we don’t employ, supervise or vouch for repairers or customers. Any arrangement, including price, timing, and payment, is between the customer and the repairer.

Your account

• You must be 18 or over.
• Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
• One person, one account. Tell us if you think your account has been misused.

Using the service

You agree not to:

• post anything unlawful, misleading, abusive or that infringes someone else’s rights;
• list stolen items, or items that are dangerous or illegal to repair;
• harass other users, or use their information for anything other than the job in hand;
• post fake reviews or manipulate ratings;
• interfere with, scrape or attempt to break the security of the service.

Your content

You own what you post (job descriptions, photos, messages, reviews). You give us a non-exclusive licence to store and display it as needed to run the service. Only post content you have the right to share. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.

Meeting and staying safe

Take sensible precautions when meeting or handing items to someone you’ve met through the platform. Meet somewhere safe where you can, and don’t share more personal information than you need to. Repairers are responsible for having any skills, insurance, permissions or licences their work requires. Repairs to electrical, gas or safety-critical items should only be done by suitably qualified people.

Reviews

Reviews should be honest and based on real experience. We may remove reviews that are abusive, false or off-topic.

Our responsibility

We provide Little Menders “as is” and work to keep it running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We are not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of repairs, for items lost or damaged, or for disputes between users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and it doesn’t affect your statutory consumer rights.

Ending your account

You can stop using Little Menders at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing privacy@littlemenders.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a meaningful change we’ll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law says otherwise.
